Day 1: Welcome to Italy!

Arrival in Rome – check into your hotel and get some rest before we start the trip of a lifetime in one of the world’s most beautiful cities!  Stay in a historical aristocratic palazzo, turned into a luxury hotel, located just a few steps away from the elegant Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps, and the Trevi Fountain. You’ll be in the heart of great dining and shopping, and close to some of the major historical sites.  We’ll start our journey through ancient times with a local Roman guide who will take us on a leisure walk to many amazing sites such as the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon (with an internal visit) and then we’ll hop on a private vehicle for a panoramic view of the city and some of its most famous landmarks like the Colosseum and Vatican. Meet your travel mates over dinner at a local trattoria featuring the best of Roman cuisine & wine! Over-night stay in Rome.


Day 2: Art through the Ages!

Escorted by a local Roman guide we’ll enter Vatican City, where we’ll visit the impressive St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museums (private guide + museum tickets included with preferred access, no waiting in line), and the amazing Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel.  Enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening on your own. Why not enjoy some shopping, then dinner on your own at one of the local trattorias?

Day 3: The Roman Empire!

After breakfast, we’ll discover the splendors of the ancient Roman Empire! Travel back in time, gazing at incredible sites during our walk with a local expert guide. We’ll visit the amazing ruins of the Roman Forum, the Curia, and the Reggia.  We’ll also learn about the Temple of Vesta, the Arch of Titus and the Arch of Costantine. Our tour will then continue with a visit to the world famous Colosseum. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon and dinner on your own.  Savor your time in Italy, you’re now living “la dolce vita”!

Day 4: The Renaissance!

We’ll check-out from our hotel and head to Florence by private transportation. Lunch along the way in Orvieto, a beautiful hilltop town in Umbria, founded by the Etruscan civilization over two thousand years ago. Arrival in Florence in the mid-afternoon. Check-in, relax, refresh, then enjoy a private walking tour through the historical streets of Florence, guided by an expert local guide who will show you the main sites, churches, and shopping areas that Florence is known for. Then enjoy a group dinner with delicious Tuscan specialties.

Day 5: Montepulciano, Pienza, and Siena!

Our first stop today is the ancient Etruscan city of Montepulciano, famous for its two distinct wines “Vino Nobile di Montepulciano” and “Rosso di Montepulciano”.  We’ll visit the Castle of Montepulciano, and the beautiful Church of the Madonna di San Biagio, dating back to the 16th century.  Lunch will be in a local trattoria where we’ll get to savour local specialties like pici.  Afterwards we’ll drive to the charming town of Pienza for a quick visit, and then make our way to amazing Siena, where you’ll have free time to explore the town and visit its amazing Cathedral. Group dinner in Siena.

Day 6: Florence, and the Uffizi Gallery!

This morning we’ll visit the amazing Uffizi Gallery, the world’s largest collection of Renaissance art by the famous masters (private guide + museum tickets included with preferred access, no waiting in line). Then your guide will take you on a delicious culinary tour through Florence’s historic Mercato Centrale, where all your senses will be delighted with colors, sounds, aromas, and gratifying flavors. Lunch featuring tastes of local specialties. Afternoon on your own in the gorgeous city of Florence – enjoy a little shopping, exploring, and discovering its amazing sites, before meeting up again for a fun group dinner!

Day 7: Art

Are you ready to have some fun and a hands-on experience with the delicious Tuscan cuisine? Learn to make classic recipes and fresh pasta during a fun cooking class in a 13th century castle nestled in the romantic hills of the wine country. A memorable experience within the walls of history in the Castle’s beautiful kitchen. Take a private wine tour exploring the castle’s ancient underground cellars and learn everything about Tuscany’s high-quality extra virgin olive oil, which the estate also produces, which you’ll enjoy during a tasty group lunch with wine pairing. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour of the Galleria dell’Accademia to see Michelangelo’s David up close and personal (private guide + museum tickets included with preferred access, no waiting in line). Dinner is on your own tonight in Florence.

Day 8:

After breakfast, we say “Arrivederci!” to Florence and make our way to Northern Italy.  We’ll stop by the charming walled city of Treviso on our way to Venice.  Treviso is absotutely charming, often overlooked by most travelers. After a panoramic stroll through the town’s picturesque piazzas, waterways, and medieval streets, we’ll have a delicious group lunch, then continue on to Venice, also known as La Serenissima, where we’ll be escorted to our hotel for check-in and luggage drop-off. Group dinner in a nearby restaurant with local Venetian specialties.

Day 9: Venice, and all its Mysteries!

This morning we’ll meet a private local guide for a unique walking tour of historic Venice.  We’ll learn about Venice’s culture, traditions, and even some amusing facts of Venetian life through the ages. Our walking tour ends in St. Mark’s Square, from here you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon and dinner on your own. If you need suggestions, the hotel’s front-desk will also be available to help you with reservations for restaurants, concerts, and events.

Day 10: The Beautiful Islands of Murano and Burano!

This morning we are taking a trip to the Island community of Murano by private boat, with a visit to a traditional glass factory, where glass masters have been creating the most intricate designs for chandeliers, vases, and jewelry for over five centuries. Free time to explore and shop around. We continue to Burano, a colorful quaint fishing village that appears to be worlds away from bustling Venice. Burano is very known for exquisitely hand-embroidered linens. Burano is still a small community where time stands still, where life is still about family, friendship, and solidarity. It is truly one of the most amazing places you’ll ever visit. Lunch in a local eatery in Burano. Dinner is on your own so you can enjoy some free time on your last night in Venice – make it a special one!
